Over the past two years, We Belong in Jasper Place funded more than 20 Projects for Belonging. These included community-led initiatives that brought neighbours together through art, music, food, play and creativity.
We are so grateful to everyone who applied, shared their ideas, and led a project. Your creativity and commitment shaped this initiative and showed the power of community leadership.
Closing this Chapter
The Projects for Belonging grant program was always designed as a time-limited initiative. It was supported by the Stony Plain Road Business Association with funding from the City of Edmonton.
That funding has now been fully invested in community projects, which means there are no new grants available. This phase of the project will conclude at the end of 2025, as the City steps back from its role in Jasper Place.
Even though the grant program has ended, many of the funded projects continue independently—and the insights we gathered will keep guiding community efforts.

Looking Ahead
Although the Projects for Belonging grant program has come to an end, community-building doesn’t stop here. The energy, relationships, and ideas sparked by this initiative will continue to live on in Jasper Place.
There are still many ways to stay involved:
- Join activities hosted by your local community league or neighbourhood group
- Support local businesses, arts, and cultural events that foster connection in Jasper Place
- Keep the spirit of belonging alive through everyday acts of care and contribution with your neighbours
The formal project may be closing, but the work of belonging is ongoing—and it lives in the hands of everyone who calls Jasper Place home.
